I really wasn’t keen on this one… but not sure why! I think I had expectations that The Familiars was going to have elements of magical realism, rather than just being solely historical fiction. I was hoping for a story laced with witchcraft, whereas witchcraft is merely alluded to as a superstition of the time. Continue Reading
